- Heike Kähler holds a degree in technical translation (English and Spanish) from the University of Hildesheim, Germany. From 1990-1997 she worked as a translator for a large German chemical company (1990 to 1997). Since 1998 she has been a freelance translator, proofreader and editor (English into German), covering various fields (e.g. technology, IT and marketing or specialty areas such as cosmetics, adhesives, flooring technology and floor coverings). However, through close cooperation with other freelance translators and editors who work with various language pairs, experlingua offers a broad range of language combinations and subject areas. The result is that each assignment is handled according to its own individual requirements and assigned to the most suitable specialist.

All orders are processed using state of the art equipment and software; naturally, this includes the newest hardware and telecommunications systems (e.g. DSL) and the use of the most up-to-date software (e.g. the latest Microsoft Office package). In addition, translation tools such as Trados, Déjà Vu X and Transit ensure consistency and speed for follow-up jobs or large projects that have to be split up among several colleagues.
